Born August 7, 1938, Hilda
is from the Acoma Pueblo, Roadrunner Clan and she has been an
active potter since 1943.
She makes traditional polychrome
jars, bowls, Storytellers since 1958, and Storyteller owls. She
is most known for her storytellers. Her mother, Eva Histia, was
her teacher and she has taught her own daughter, Mary J. Garcia.
Hilda's awards include 1st
place ribbon at Indian Market, Santa Fe.
