Kevin is from the village of Hotevilla on Third Mesa. He is young and relativly new carver. Kevin has a unique painting style and unusual color scheme.


Kiisa is the Sparrow Hawk who taught Hopi men how to hunt. The throwing stick used to kill jackrabbits, and other small game, was given to them by Kiisa. It was modeled after the Sparrow Hawk's wing and symbolizes Kiisa in its markings.
