Celinda McKelvey Joe is the
daughter of the renowned Navajo potter Lucy McKelvey. Both have
won top honors in the various shows they have entered. Celinda
has taken "Best of Division" twice at the Heard Museum
Show for Figurative Pottery.
Like her mother, Celinda incoporates
a dazzling array of colors and shapes into her pottery - always
contrasting nicely against the rich, warm orange colored clay.
Collectors of Celinda's work
will recognize this figure as one of many in a series of yei
pottery that she has become known for, and this is a unique piece
for anyone looking to add another to their lineup.
